I Would Have Loved You Anyway
(Trisha Yearwood)

If I'd known how this would end,
If I'd read the last page first
If I'd had the strength to walk away
If I'd known how this would hurt

I would have loved you anyway,
I'd do it all the same,
Not a second would I change
Not a touch that I would trade
Had I know my heart would break,
I would have loved you anyway

It's bittersweet to look back now
At the memories withered on the vine
But just to hold you close to me
For a moment in time

I would have loved you anyway,
I'd do it all the same
Not a second I would change
Not a touch I would trade,
Had I known my heart would break
I would have loved you anyway

And even if I'd seen it comin'
You'd still have seen me runnin'
Straight into your arms

I would have loved you anyway
I'd do it all the same,
Not a second I would change
Not a touch that I would trade
Had I known my heart would break,
I would have loved you anyway

I would have loved you anyway.

I Miss My Friend
Darryl Worley

I miss the look of surrender in your eyes
The way your soft brown hair would fall
I miss the power of your kiss when we made love
But baby most of all

I miss my friend
The one my heart and soul confided in
The one I felt the safest with
The one who knew just what to say to make me laugh again
And let the light back in
I miss my friend

I miss the colors that you brought into my life
Your golden smile, those blue-green eyes
I miss your gentle voice in lonely times like now
Saying it'll be alright

I miss my friend
The one my heart and soul confided in
The one I felt the safest with
The one who knew just what to say to make me laugh again
And let the light back in
I miss my friend

I miss those times
I miss those nights
I even miss the silly fights
The making up
The morning talks
And those late afternoon walks

I miss my friend
The one my heart and soul confided in
The one I felt the safest with.

Déjà vu

Hey there handsome it looks like good bye again,
We're not quite strangers, not just old friends.
I still have to wonder if this was all more than fate,
But once again, we missed the chance before it was too late.
I've dealt with the past and I've learned to let go,
Deep in my heart you'll always have a place, you know.

I won't say I don't still hurt sometimes,
But you're not the only thought runnin' through my mind,
And some days the past still haunts me it's true,
But I've got a future full of hope that I can hold on to.
And sometimes in my dreams I still want more,
Looks like you've won this battle, maybe even the war.

This is you, or what I always thought you might say,
But I just can't put myself in your place today.
Maybe you'd say that you don't know up from down,
Your world is still just spinning around.
Or maybe you'd say that you're sorry for everything,
That you've found the past to be nothing but a dream,

But it won't change the way I still hurt sometimes,
And you're not the only thought runnin' through my mind,
Yeah, some days the past still haunts me it's true,
But I've got a future full of hope that I can hold on to.
And sometimes in my dreams I still want more,
I think you've won this battle, maybe even the war.

I always said I wouldn't relive the past,
That if we ever found each other again it would last.
Funny how it never seems to work that way,
It seems that there will always be something in our way,
So to finish us off right, I guess you could say its déjà vu,
We both know it'll never be, just be me or you.

And baby, yeah I still hurt sometimes,
But there's someone else runnin' through my mind,
The past will always haunt me, I know it's true,
But I've got a future full of hope I can hold on too.
And handsome in my dreams I'll always want more,
But you've won this battle, along wth this whole damn war.

I don't know if we can be friends, or if we should even try,
Still there is nothing sadder, then saying goodbye.

Never Forever

A never forever is what you are,
A heartache like a falling star.
A lot of talk, but no truth,
A man of honor, who's so uncouth.

Why I love, why I care,
I can't understand why there's anything there,
Why I hurt, why I write,
Images that burn into the night.

A never forever meant for me,
A love more pure you will never see,
A lot of pain, but a smile on my face,
A man of deceptions, who can't be replaced.

Why I think, why I feel,
I can't understand, emotions unreal,
Why I live, why I cry,
Words never spoken, not even goodbye.
